About i2i Publishing

A personal publishing service built around authors

i2i Publishing was founded by Lionel Ross in 2005 to help authors turn their manuscripts into professionally published books.

More than 20 years later, Lionel still leads the business and remains personally involved in the detail of every book we publish. When you approach i2i Publishing, you are not dealing with a large, faceless organisation or being passed between departments. You are speaking directly with an experienced publisher who will take the time to understand your book and what you hope to achieve.

We know that approaching a publisher can feel daunting, particularly when it is your first book. Our aim is to make the process clear, supportive and straightforward from the first conversation.

Established experience with a personal approach

Every manuscript is considered on its own merits. We look for books that are interesting, commercially viable and capable of finding an audience. When we believe a manuscript has genuine publishing potential, we will explain how we can help and what the next stages may involve.

There is no obligation simply because you have submitted an enquiry, shared a manuscript or received an initial publishing proposal. A formal publishing agreement is only prepared when both sides have decided that they would like to proceed.

Support throughout the publishing process

At i2i, we’re supported by an experienced network of publishing professionals

Depending on the needs of your book, this can include editors, proofreaders, formatters, cover designers and children’s book illustrators. Together, we can manage the work needed to prepare your manuscript for publication and present it professionally.

A publisher, not a self-publishing service

i2i Publishing is not a self-publishing company. We operate on a shared-risk model – with a small upfront fee, we manage every aspect of the publishing process, and together we share all profits resulting from your book.

My experience with i2i Publishing was excellent. My book was edited by Jess who gave me valuable advice regarding the nuances of the fantasy genre. I could not be any happier with the outcome. The book is doing well and it has given me the spur to carry on writing.
