The Throgmorton Legacy
By Trudie le Beau
Jake Faraday lived a quiet life in the rural depths of Somerset until, at the age of thirteen, he was torn from his family and pressed into serving as a powder monkey on a Man of War.There he witnessed the carnage of battle, murder, corruption and depravity. With a deadly enemy at his heels and nowhere to run fate took a hand bringing him salvation and a life that he could only ever have dreamed of…Trudie le BeauI retired to Spain in 2004 with absolutely no idea that she would ever become an author. She had always loved reading and used to enjoy making up stories for my children when they were young, but the thought of writing them down just never occurred to her. With her husband, she I settled into a quiet mountain village on the Costa Blanca and now with time on her hands, she began to think initially about jotting down ideas with her grandson in mind as he was at one point obsessed with all things piratical. But one thing led to another and she eventually found herself with a finished novel on my hands and with family and friends urging her to try to get the book published. She was fortunate enough to come across Lionel Ross of i2i Publishing who liked the book and who has managed to turn her dream of actually being an author into a reality. For Trudie, one of the greatest pleasures in life is to take time out and curl up in a comfy chair or snuggle up in bed with a good book that transports her into another world and the notion that now others may take pleasure from doing just that with my work is rewarding beyond measure.
